In the UK they currently employ 3500 staff and undertake around £1 billion of work each year.
About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced and exceptional Commercial Manager to join their already existing Management Team within their Utility business units. Your role as Commercial Manager will mean reporting directly to the board of directors and focusing on their water, gas and power contracts. Current projects include Term Contracts, PFI Schemes, Capital Works and Tunnelling. The role will entail leading, managing and supporting all pre and post contract commercial activities within this particular business.
About the requirements: The ideal candidate will be degree educated and have a strong and proven commercial background, possibly progressing from a Quantity Surveying discipline. You will need to have extensive experience in the civils/utilities sector as well as experience of overseeing key clients and large projects. Also, the ability to manage an expanding commercial department will be vital. This is a role that will require a high volume of interface with the client as well as the management team and sub contractors. You will also be required to expand the business as the company is currently seeking to strengthen its market share and move into other areas within the UK.
