The Company
A world wide influential and well respected Design and Build Specialist with offices located throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and worldwide
Description:
We now require a Bid Manager to join our Technical Services team, based at the head office in Blackfriars in central London.
Reporting to the Technical Services Director, the jobholder will lead, manage and co-ordinate all aspects of tender submissions and ensure that the client's business and cost objectives are met at minimal risk and maximum potential margin for the client.

The Bid Manager will be expected to:
·Lead Tender Team to produce a winning bid with maximum potential margin and minimal risk
·Where necessary engage Consultants, negotiate Fees / Scope of Service
·Establish and manage bid budget
·Carry out bid appraisal to identify strategy, early risk and commercial issues
·Early identification of H&S Issues
·Prepare bid programme and assign key roles and responsibilities
·Monitor bid programme and prepare progress reports as required
·Identify / implement any requirements for collaborative tools e.g. Build-OnLine
·Facilitation of risk management and value management/engineering workshops
·Consider whole life and operating costs where appropriate and interface with SPV on all such matters.
·Input to decisions on major supply chain partners
·Act as key contact for major/preferred sub-contractors during bidding phase
·Lead presentations to client
·Manage handover of successful bids to site team

The successful candidate is likely to have:
·A construction related degree
·Membership of a relevant professional body
·Experience in a similar role
·Experience working in several of the following sectors: Commercial, Retail, Education, Health, Residential.
·Detailed knowledge of all key forms of Procurement Routes, with particular knowledge of PFI/PPP
·Good IT skills, including PowerProject
