A leading, international, employee owned consultancy, placed within the top 20 Times best companies to work for, is looking for an experienced Highway Designer to join it's office in Central London.

The Senior Highway Designer will join the development planning team in London, and provide design advice and solutions to both private and public sector clients.

This position requires an enthusiastic, hard-working person, who wants to be part of a growing dynamic team. Established skills in highway alignment design and detailed design are essential and the ideal candidate will also have 3D alignment design abilities.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience;
· Considerable experience in the design of priority junctions, roundabouts, local highways, trunk roads, and major interchanges
· Sound understanding of DMRB, Manual for Streets (DB32), Traffic Signs Manual, TSRGD, Designing for Deliveries etc
· Relevant knowledge of Section 38 and Section 278 Agreements of the Highways Act and Section 106 Agreement of the Planning Act.
· Good project management skills and ability to manage less senior colleagues.
· Established skills in current CAD software (AutoCAD, AutoTRACK, PDS/Civil 3D or similar etc.) and transport modelling applications (ARCADY, LINSIG etc.)
· An understanding of the transport planning environment in England or Scotland.
· Be able to attend Design Team meeting and be able to explain complicated technical issues.
· A relevant first degree (or equivalent) in a technical subject (i.e. transport, engineering).
