Our clients, are a large rail organisation, are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager at their offices in Central London. The Assist Project Manager will assist in the planning, control and implementation of projects on behalf of the Project Manager in order to meet:
·Requirements for safety, quality and value for money
·Specifications and agreed targets for cost and timescale
·Meet all requirements for safety, quality and value for money.
Experience
Essential:
·Should ideally hold a degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering based discipline. Experience in a project management, railway or other engineering environment is also a requirement
·A high level of numeracy and analytical ability is required. Experience in the financial control of projects or similar and knowledge of critical path programme analysis would be an advantage.
·Sufficient legal and contractual awareness and the ability to develop this into competent knowledge is required.
·The jobholder must have the awareness and knowledge to ensure safety in a railway environment.
·Well developed communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills, with the drive and commitment to achieve project objectives and the ability to develop strong leadership skills is required.
Desirable:
·A broad knowledge of and commitment to the business objectives, including customer service, financial control, engineering quality and health and safety are required attributes of the jobholder.
