A member of the AUTOCAD rail team for Cross Track Projection (XTP) to produce necessary clearance applications, site specific details and any necessary drawings for completing the installations. Reporting to the Lead AUTOCAD Engineer. Additionally providing AUTOCAD support across all engineering work streams (XTP) as required.
Specific Responsibilities
1.Receive drawing requests from Lead AUTOCAD Engineer and engineers, insuring that all work is completed within the time allocated.
2.Excellent IT skills required – all standard applications, setting up and specifying computers, proficient in use of AUTOCAD for structural, electrical drawings and 3D modelling.
3.Clear understanding of all London Underground clearance and gauging requirements, knowledge of LU ED drawing standards, network practices and practices for production of clearance applications for infraco submission.
4.Ability to set up and manage drawing revision control and issue procedures
5.Ability to adhere to CAD standards as set out by the Lead CAD engineer.
6.Excellent spatial awareness for the design of bespoke panelling and cladding design
7.Excellent communication skills for interfacing with Engineers, Surveyors, Suppliers and Project Managers
8.Flexibility to attend nights/site for obtaining measurements and validating drawings
Problem resolution and referral:
·Referring serious problems to the Lead Engineer in a timely manner
.Regularly consult with Workstream Lead and all team members
