RED are a leading construction recruitment consultancy based in the North-West. For one of our leading clients we have an opportunity for a health and safety advisor with a rail background to work on rail projects within London.
The role would be to provide safety support to the clients projects to develop and encourage best practice management principles, procedures and cultures to reduce the safety risks to all persons affected by construction activities.
Candidates must be able to provide safety advice to project teams, actively identifying areas for improvement and contribute to the development of improvement plans. Duties will also include ensuring that site teams are pro-active in their commitment to a risk/incident free environment in which to work.
Candidates will also have to undertake management audits of the health and safety and environment processes applied on each project.
Successfully candidates will also have the opportunity to provide training to increase safety, health and environmental awareness amongst employees and others by both formal and informal techniques.
Candidates for this position will have previous rail experience and health and safety qualifications. (NEBOSH minimum).
