We are currently looking for a Signal Verification Engineer to work for a large signalling company based in Derby.
·Review new/altered standards and consider the impact on the company in engineering, commercial & financial terms
·Produce technical reports
·Provide technical support as a signalling consultant
·Provide signal engineering input to multi-disciplinary projects
·Provide technical input to tenders
·Carry out workplace assessments for all staff.
·Act as assessor verifier for competence assessments
·Assist in monitoring the engineering progression of trainees
·Carry out risk assessments
·Assist in the preparation and dissemination of information through the technical briefing process
·Assist with the audit departments, sub-contractors and suppliers on technical compliance with relevant Group, Company and company standards
·Application of ‘yellow book’ engineering principles
Provide input to the development of the Business Management System
·BSc level education in an engineering discipline
·5 - 7 years experience of working in signal design, testing or installation at a senior level
·PTS
·Engineering Manager (Engineer) (6.8.105) IRSE licence
·Be or working towards a Member of the IRSE
·Possess or be working towards IEng
·Report writing skills
·Computer literacy
·Knowledge of risk assessment techniques
·A1 and V1 assessor qualifications
·Auditing skills
