Our client has been created by formally bringing together the two businesses of ALSTOM UK Transport Information Solutions and Balfour Beatty Rail Signalling, providing a unique opportunity to offer ‘individual' or ‘complete solutions' to any customer requiring design, installation, testing, commissioning and product support for signalling, power and telecommunications
We require a Rail Signalling Design Engineer to deliver design safely, to time, profitably and to customer satisfaction.
Position Located in Derby
Responsibilies to include:
· Design packages delivered to programme and budget.
· Design packages comply with good design practice, relevant technical, professional and group standards.
· Effective and organised team.
· Accurate and complete design records.
· Successful audits.
· Log book, CPD records.
· Achievement of further education qualifications where relevant.
Skills & Qualifications:
· PTS
· 1.1.140 IRSE Design Manager License
· HNC level education in an engineering discipline, with experience
· Detailed Knowledge of Railway construction methods Signalling Principles and Circuits & Components
· Detailed knowledge of Group/company standards and procedures and HSE legislation.
· Engineering Safety Management
· Project Safety requirements
· Risk Assessment Techniques
· Extensive knowledge of the Engineering interface with other Disciplines i.e. civil engineering, Permanent Way, electrification and telecommunications
· Plan / implement delivery programmes
