We are looking for a Safety Management and Assurance specialist to work for a large railways consultancy. The position will be based in the Safety Management and Assurance team in our client's Derby office.
Duties and responsibilities:
• To project manage independent verification assignments
• To undertake risk assessments and/or independent verification activities including, for example:
- engineering risk assessments
- product/process auditing
- design review/scrutiny and construction inspections
- engineering safety assessments
• To liaise with Specialist Engineers on detailed technical matters.
Key skills and experience required for this position include:
• A sound understanding of engineering principles and systems integration
• Good communication and project management skills
• Knowledge of the rail industry would be beneficial, however applicants with appropriate skills will be considered from other industries
• A high level of professional integrity.
Qualifications:
It is considered that the successful applicants for these posts would ideally be a Chartered Engineer (or currently working towards) or an engineer with equivalent experience |
