Our Client is looking for Civil Design Engineers to work at their office in Derby, to assist in the production of design deliverables.
Key duties will include:
- Providing design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
- Producing design calculations and drawings.
- Directing Design Draughtspersons and other personnel as required.
- Contributing to the production of design investigations, reports and specifications.
- Designing in compliance with relevant technical, professional and group standards.
- Ensuring project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
- Undertaking work using formal processes and procedures.
- Managing and recording time, which includes providing time estimates for tasks.
Skills The successful applicant will be educated to HNC and/or Degree level with experience in a Railway environment. You will also be aware of construction methods and materials, have a basic level of IT skills and knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices.
desirable skills Ideally you will hold a current PTS certificate, and have knowledge of Group Standards/HSE legislation.
