What is the Role?
Working for a major UK Rail Track Renewal Contractor you will be involved in all the technical input to track design and installation, the core responsibilities include;
o marking-up; track survey (horizontal and vertical alignment)
o setting out. setting up lasers (for level/gradient control of dozers);
o monitoring formation depth during excavation;
o checking of levels / fall of newly installed track drainage;
o monitoring layering and compaction of new ballast;
o monitoring installation of new track for level, alignment and correct cant;
o marking up track for lifting and alignment by tamping machine;
o technical supervision of stressing; provision of as-built information.
The work will be Night and Day shifts.
