Quantity Surveyor's Glasgow (Highways Project) Excellent package
About the company/Role: Four Major Civil Engineering contractors have joined together to work on a high profiled Highways project within the Glasgow region. This joint venture will be the largest ever Road Construction scheme ever to be carried out in Scotland with a project value of £445million. When completed at the end of 2011 the new 8km motorway extension will significantly reduce congestion on the busiest stretch of the M8 through Glasgow. The project will serve the regeneration of the South and East of Glasgow, Rutherglen and Camuslang, and be delivered in good time for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014.
About the benefits / rewards: Depending on experience you will be paid up to basic salary of £50,000 along with company car/allowance, pension, life insurance etc. You will also have the opportunity to be working on one of the most highly profiled projects within Scotland with the chance to progress your Commercial career.
About the requirements: All the company asks is for you to be educated to degree standard in Quantity Surveying. Ideally you will have at least 5 years quantity surveying experience and experience within Highways would be advantageous. Working as part of a team of surveyors and project managers you must have the ability to work as part of a team or independently. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are also required.
