The company.
The client is a specialist in the provision of specific core technologies to the rail industry. The purpose of the role is to provide project support across Plant Services, focused on the introduction and delivery of innovative and niche plant related products in to the mainstream business.
The role.
·Understanding customer requirements and maintaining close relationships.
·Maintain close working relationships with suppliers.
·Undertake the Project Management, from concept through to delivery, of a range of innovative and niche plant products and services.
·Work with the Business Manager on assigned tenders, looking at innovative methods and potential “added value” mechanisms that will create competitive advantage and help win work.
·Operational support to Business manager during trial and commissioning periods.
·Development of ongoing unrealised innovation pipeline and the upkeep of identified target revenues.
·Benchmark and market analysis for potential new products, generating business cases depicting likely commercial and operational advantage.
Specific candidate skills and experience.
·Customer relationship skills.
·Effective People Management skills
·Typically a postgraduate with practical engineering experience.
·Procurement experience
·Personal Track Safety.
·LOLER / PUWER
·OND / HND Engineering as a minimum or equivalent
