Commercial Manager

Due to the award of a high major, high profile, £multi million Design & Build project we now require a Commercial Manager preferably with experience in the rail or light rail industry. Working for this major domestic player with over 50 years innovation in the rail industry, the role will be to provide the commercial function as a key member in the delivery of the project. As a customer facing individual you will already have a proven track record of maximising the commercial opportunities of a project and will be instrumental in the development of processes and procedures to reinforce and strengthen the commercial operations. Working alongside the Planning and Project Management teams the role will also include providing key indicators to ongoing performance of the project and changes to the brief: assessing impact in cost, value, programme and risk & margin.
Proven experience ideally from both consultant and contractor environments is essential along with the ability to work on your own initiative, a thorough understanding of construction contracts and the management of commercial risk.
