What is the Role?
Our client has a well-earned reputation in Civil and Structural Engineering. As one of the “Top 4” Rail consultancies they have considerable skills in railway bridges, stations and other civil engineering works in a railway environment. They undertake feasibility studies, scheme designs and detailed designs for all types of railway structure.
They have a number of vacancies for Civil Engineers within the York Office and are seeking candidates at all levels of expertise.
Typical work could include:
Undertaking site visits and surveys as necessary
Preparation of Form A, AA, BA and A of railway structures and associated infrastructure
Producing technical reports
Co-ordinating drawings and design

Previous projects include Airdrie to Bathgate Railway, Crossrail, East London Line, Edinburgh Tram and Waverley Railway. What Skills do I need?
You will be working toward Chartered status, with good all round knowledge of Railway Bridge design and detailing. Experience in reconstruction design and assessment of existing structures within the railway environment is essential.
